I take quite a few liberties with my interpretation of this Rolling Stones tune. I chose to cover this song because melodically, it is transporting and achingly beautiful, and thematically, it is about impermanence — one of my favorite topics of fascination — the passage of time, and the emotions left in its wake. It was produced by Oliver Newell, in an airstream trailer in the middle of an orange grove in in Ojai, California, and mixed and mastered by Rick Parker in Los Angeles.
