“Coming Out” is a defiant, weary, and yet serene I-don’t-give-a-f*ck anthem. “I spent too long trying too hard to please,” the song goes, “And now I have no more apologies.” The simple mantra-like refrain “I’m coming out” is for anyone who is tired of wearing a mask to conform to others’ expectations, and who is ready to break the shell, and step out fully into one’s authentic self.
It’s taken me a long time to let go of what other people think of me, release my own self-judgment, silence the noise of the inner critic, and accept and love myself for who I am; but, better late than never.
Hope it inspires you to march to the beat of very own inner drummer, trust your intuition, celebrate and forgive yourself, and be truly you, with courage and commitment.

lyrics
I refuse to dim my light
I’m not gonna tone it down
Just to make you feel all right
Cuz I spent too long trying too hard to please
And now I have no more apologies
And I don’t give a you know what
I don’t care if you judge me
Or if you think I’m just too much
Cuz I’m tired of keeping half myself at bay
And none of that stuff matters anyway
I’m coming out, I’m coming out
Who knows how many days I have ahead
It’s high time I learn to love myself before I’m dead
And when I think I won’t make it alone
I remember that I’ll leave here on my own
So I have to be okay with who I am
Even though not everything has gone according to the plan
I forgive myself for putting myself down
I’m the only one who can turn that all around
I’m coming out
I’m coming out
I’m coming out
